May has arrived. Season of festivals, a tradition in downtown Tokyo.

Walking around town during this season, you may happen to come across portable shrines, food stands, and other festive scenes

Such moments fill me with an indescribable feeling of happiness.

 

During this season, festivals are actually held somewhere every week within an area of about 3 miles square.

Today we will introduce a list of major festivals held in the downtown area during May and June.
