Today, the final day of the festival, the main portable shrine will finally be carried through the entire town.
The tour takes about 12 hours from the early morning departure from the shrine to go around the Ueno/Okachimachi area and back to Shitaya Shrine in the evening.
First, please watch the powerful scene of the portable shrine entering the main shrine, from the middle of the Kiyari Song (workmen's chant while pulling a heavy load) to the ipponjime (hand-clapping performed to celebrate the conclusion or completion of something) and passing through the Ichino-torii (first shrine gate).
Then, it is the last and most exciting part of the festival. This is the scene where the main portable shrine, after passing through the Ichino-torii (first shirine gate), makes its way along the approach toward the Nino-Torii (second shirine gate).
